Inspired by Nordic light and expressive brushwork
Ettermæle Strøk takes its inspiration from the Skagen painters and Anders Zorn: Nordic light, warm summer colours and loose, expressive brushwork. The style also draws on impasto, where thick layers of paint leave visible traces of the brush.
Subjects remain recognisable, while details are brought together in broader areas of colour. Sunlight, reflections on water and intimate moments from everyday life take centre stage. Here are five photographs and their interpretations in Strøk.
